Cellulites are fat deposits around the pelvic region. The fat deposits form wrinkles in the skin. One of the main issues with cellulite is the fact that not only overweight people suffer from this. This is because one of the most common areas where fat gets deposited is hips and thighs. Even if you are not overweight, you may still have cellulite. Fortunately, getting rid of cellulite is quite easy. There are quite a few workout routines that you can follow to tone your legs and hip. Let’s look at a few workout routines:
The squat is a great exercise for getting rid of cellulite and toning your legs at the same time. There are a few variations of squats, which affect different areas of your pelvic region. If you squat with your legs only shoulder-width apart, then you will be working out the upper thighs and lower abdominal muscles. If you want to stress your hamstrings and your glute muscles, you should widen your stance to more than a shoulder width apart.
Lunges are also a good exercise and quite popular for good reason. Lunges work not only your quadriceps, hamstrings and gluteus muscles, but also your abdomen. This is a great exercise for losing cellulite around the entire pelvic area. If you want to involve your abdominal muscles as well, keep a barbell on your shoulders. This will engage your abdominal muscles when you perform lunges.
If you want to isolate the area around your hamstrings and gluteus muscles while working out your abdomen, you should go for the thigh raise. The thigh raise is extremely effective and will bring down your cellulite deposits fairly quickly. When doing thigh raises, be sure to take a brief pause at the top for about one second. This will put maximum stress on your muscles and burn the maximum amount of fat.
If you cannot go to the gym and perform weight training, then you should try running. You don’t necessarily have to run for long periods of time; you can run in short bursts, instead. If you are targeting your hamstrings, be sure to run on an uphill path.
Individuals who have a hectic schedule and cannot take the time out to work out regularly can try this exercise. This is a simple exercise that you can do on your way to work and coming back: instead of taking the elevator or escalator, climb the stairs. Climbing stairs works out your thigh, gluteus and hamstring muscles.
If getting rid of cellulite is your goal, be sure to consider the abovementioned exercises.
